History of the Graffiti Solution System

In 1991, Michael Macris invented and developed the first protective anti graffiti coating system. In the span of over 25 years the Graffiti Solution System (GSS) has protected thousands of projects and millions of square feet of a variety of structures and various substrates all over the world. The GSS products have been sole sourced specified by many of America’s largest corporations to keep their properties protected from the ravages and destruction of graffiti and related gang activity. The GSS coatings system prevents property devaluation and customer patronage interruption. Companies that use and have relied on GSS include, but is not limited to, Rite Aid Corporation, Walgreens, Best Buy, Bank of America, JC Penney, Union Pacific, BNSF and many more. Some of our more high profile signature projects include the Roman Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Empire State Building and Kodak Theater; as well as many governmental properties in all 50 states including libraries, police stations, highway bridges, landscaped interchanges, sound walls and many other related structures.

Mr. Macris has been awarded three US patents and a Canadian patent. American Polymer was the original company that Mr. Macris formed in 1991. Subsequently, in 2012, he formed GSS Coatings LLC to serve the building and architectural industry. He also formed Locomoto Coatings LLC to service the rail and industrial coatings industry. To date after all these years since inception, no other company has been successful in meeting the equal standard to the GSS protective coating system.
